As a class, we analysed different artists latest album covers, teaser trailers and their music videos. Throughout we are looking for aspects of synergy that link them all together and relate back to the artist. Here are a few artists we analysed:
Daft Punk
Any fans of Daft Punk will know that this is their album without having the group's name on the cover as their are famous for wearing these helmets to hide their identity. Their two helmets have been merged together to make one. The band are known for using futuristic themes throughout their videos and they have carried on with their theme for their latest album cover and music video.
The album teaser has many of these features in it. At first we see Daft Punk in what seems to be a spaceship which straight away gives it a futuristic feel. We then see the album cover, which daft punk are holding and they are wearing the helmets that are shown on the album cover. Daft Punk then play a vinyl on an old record player, which brings the old school feel to it which Daft Punk are famous for.
