RESEARCH - Overview Of Previous Student Ancillary Work

Student Ancillary Work

1) CHARLIE JAYNE - Living With Fiction

DIGIPAK!

STRENGTHS:

-The arrangement of the features are great
-The fonts and colors stay consistent thus making it synergous
-The track list is appropriate and the text makes sense

WEAKNESSES:

-The front cover of the album does not show us the artists face

STRENGTHS:

-Use of synergy, there are same images and the font and text remains the same
-The size of the font is also the same size thus making it consistent and professional
-The placement, organization and order of all the features such as text and pictures are ordered excellently.

WEAKNESSES:

-There is a red colour text which reads 'out now'. This colour comes out of nowhere and there is no other red colour anywhere in either one of the media products.
-There is a picture of the artist on the bottom left hand corner which is very odd considering the genre of the artist and album.
-The social networking sites logos are far too big and our of proportion to each other.

2) DOUBLE TROUBLE - Soundtrack To Chaos

DIGIPAK!

STRENGTHS:

-The font and text color match very well and in fact they bode nicely together.
-Everything is laid out and ordered excellently.

WEAKNESSES:

-The inside of the digipak is not at all synergous, there is a different font for the artists name and the album name too.
-Inconsistent font and text size for the track listings.

STRENGTHS:

-The boxes for the tour listings mirror and are extremely similar to the track listings of the inside of album digipak, this is very good for synergy and consistency.
-The artists faces are on the advertisement just like the album cover.
-The font type looks professional and consistent.

WEAKNESSES:

-The advertisement has too much of a white background and is vague, plain and mundane.

-The logo of the various social networking and shopping sites used are all out of proportion, sized differently and out of shape.
