In our music video, we have decided that we will have a theme throughout. We were watching through existing videos of some of the artists we liked and I came across Beyonce's 'Broken Hearted Girl' video. I really liked the video and I spotted the rose used in the video and I thought it would go really well with what we wanted to do. I thought we could have a healthy and beautiful rose at the beginning and as we go back to the rose at the end of the song, it is no longer beautiful and healthy and has withered and fallen apart. This would also represent the lyrics of the song that talk about her being disappointed. The idea of the rose would then continue on to the digipak. Perhaps she will be holding a rose or there will be a rose somewhere on the digipak.
Also, since we decided on having very simple make-up. we thought it would be good for Karma to have a strong lip colour throughout. We thought of this by watching Rita Ora's video 'RIP' in one of our media classes. On the digipak, we can also incorporate this idea and perhaps have a very close up picture of the artist where the bright lips are visible.
