PRODUCTION: Day 3 of Filming

Our third day of filming was in our third location which is Kings Cross Square. In planning we chose this location as at night it has a water display that lights up and we thought this would look amazing on camera, especially at night.

Filming at a later time meant that we had to bring along lighting with us to make sure everything was visible in the dark. This was our first time using lighting whilst filming and it took a while to get used to using the lighting without making it look amateur. When first using the lighting we found that it looked a lot like a spotlight on camera and we had to stand at a distance where the light would be on Carina but not too close at the same time. After a wile we found the right distance to place the lighting and we began filming.

We were under pressure as the lights battery only lasts for forty minutes and we had already wasted a bit of its power from figuring out where to place the lighting. Once we started filming everything went smoothly and once again were very happy with Carina's performance and we all agreed that we had picked a very good location. It looked amazing on camera and wasn't busy at night so we didn't have anyone in the background.

We also found another location in King Cross which was good as it had seats that lit up making it easier to filming without lighting. We think that this will be incorporated into our music video.

We have some very good footage from Kings Cross but as a group we decided that it would be best to return to Kings Cross Square just to perfect any bits we weren't happy with.
